Project description:

The Medische Zending Primary Health Care Suriname was able to purchase 5 portable ultrasound devices with finances donated by the SK-Foundation. These devices are placed in various clinical posts of MZ. To make sure that these devices are purchased to improve our services to our clients, MZ Health workers are also trained to use the ultrasound devices.

Project goal:

Monitoring health conditions and research of the pregnant women in the local villages. The gathered data can provide better insights about the local populace on childbearing and pregnancies. It also provides a better opportunity for MZ to determine policy goals and programs that fill the needs of mother- and childcare.
